Series Sequel: First Guardians of the Galaxy Set!
Recommended For: Casual Marvel fans, hardcore Guardians fan
We have our very first Guardians of the Galaxy set for Happy Kuji and it’s part of the Marvel Infinity Saga series. This set is to commemorate the release of the Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 movie, but the prizes are related to Vol 1 and 2, still, if you are a GOTG fans, this set is right for you! Let’s check out the prizes!
Prize A (2 pieces)
Normally I would expect a figure for the top prize for a Marvel Kuji, but this time round, they gave us a Skateboard Deck! That is such a unique prize! I mean even if you don’t skateboard, this is a great prize to display! The Deck is 80cm tall and 20cm wide, definitely big enough to showcase your liking for the GOTG! 2 to go around, so glad this is no unique! The design is great as well, we have all the 5 original Guardians member being featured, if you asked me, I think this one will be a more memorable collector’s item compared to a figure!
Prize B (2 pieces)
Next we have a cool looking T-shirt, it’s not 2 design but rather one design with different front and back! The front design is the GOTG logo while the back features the original 5 members! It’s a free size shirt so most of us will be able to wear it. I mean for the price of 1 ticket to be able to pull a Marvel Tee is such a good deal!
Prize C (16 pieces)
Distribution: 8 x 2 pieces each. Selectable!
We moved into the small prize section and we start with the tumblers! They are relative long at 14cm tall and can contain up to 400ml of liquid! So definitely can come in handy, the design wise are decent, we have 3 starlord design, 1 groot, 1 rocket, 1 logo and 2 group. I suggest picking the yellow one as that would be the more popular piece but again depending on your preference as well. Not a bad prize, at least won’t make you feel too bad for getting it!
Prize D (16 pieces)
Distribution: 8 x 2 pieces each. Selectable.
Next we have acrylic pouch. The look nice, they are definitely as small as it look, they are 10cm long 8cm wide, so big enough for you to store some essentials like keys, coins or cards! Design wise we have a variety of good looking layout as well, we have 3 group, 4 starlord and an alien language word, The group design probably will be picked first, but again, choose what you like rather than the popular piece! A prize that is acceptable.
Prize E (20 pieces)
Distribution: 20 x 1 piece each.
Next we have Posters! One of the more iconic prize for a Marvel Happy Kuji. The poster features the core 5 members and Nebula, 4 group and 10 movie scenes design, so quite a variety. I think collecting them will be a headache but if you don’t mind any design, just put them up on your wall and enjoy it! A2 size poster, so nothing bad at all! Blinded keeps it fun too, like you might be spoilt for choice if you actually pick them.
Prize F (24pieces)
Distribution: 8 x 3 pieces each. Selectable.
Normally I will really grade a sticker prize down because they are one time use prizes. However, the prize this time round is made in such a way that if you would like to collect them, you can do so! Each prize gives you 4 Die Cut Stickers, 1 character, 1 logo and 2 movie scenes. You can store them as a design piece and never use them for sticker! The stickers type are consistent in sizes as well, you can keep the movie scenes’ stickers as a form of cards. Not a bad prize, anyway it’s not blinded so if you want you can keep all 8!
Well if you really want a Skateboard Deck featuring the GOTG, but you can’t pull Prize A, a buyout would be the next best option! The design is different though, you will get a GOTG vol 2 design but still features the core 5 members! Size one is still 80cm by 20cm so it’s big and bulky! You can lookout for a 10- buyout or 18- with Prize A or B inside!
A skateboard deck and a tee shirt for the top prize, why not!
Very nice and appealing small prize to attract you to play!
Another Skateboard deck is never a bad thing!
Variety of Prize
6 different prize but plenty of varieties for the small prizes!
Odds of big prizes
4 top prizes for a 80 tickets, we are definitely shortchanged in this aspect.
Value for Money
No matter what you get, you are getting a good value for your ticket!
I will say it’s a solid Kuji, the purpose is to celebrate the 3rd GOTG movie and I am pretty sure they did just that! It’s not the perfect Kuji, but it did just fine giving some good stuff to the fans!
Let’s calculate your odds to get the following with one ticket from a fresh board!
Chance to get a top prize (A or B): 5 / 80= 5%, lower than average!
3 tickets for a chance at the Skateboard deck or T-Shirt!
The Real Deal:
- Prize A or Last Skateboard Deck: If you are a GOTG fan, this is a good prize to have and definitely the prize that everyone is looking for! Just either one will do!
Nice to have:
- Prize B T-Shirt: I mean you can’t say that you don’t want this Tee if you are a fan right! Not a priority, but no harm pulling and add to your closet!
- Group Design for Prize C Tumbler and Prize D Arylic Pouch. These group designs have more collection value so nothing bad for collecting them! You can also easily pull and pick them!
- Prize F Stickers: Getting all 8 will be nice since they form the essential members of the GOTG, don’t use them for stickers if you are collecting them!
Collect only if you don’t already have:
- Prize E Posters: They are nice, but too much hassle to get any selected designs for the time spent to get them as well, so just accept what you pull and display them or trade them around!
- Remaining design for Prize C and D: They are nice, but no need to collect everything, just the ones you like that you can use!
