Series Sequel: 41st Nyanko Sensei Kuji set! 1st in 2023!

Recommended For: Casual Nyanko Sensei fans, casual Kuji fans who don’t mind getting something cute and/or useful

I am amazed by how rare a Nyanko Sensei Kuji is noways, it’s almost a third of the year and it’s the first Nyanko Sensei set for the year! The theme of the set is fairly obvious, so we have an amusement park theme, which seems interesting, so let’s check out what prizes they have for us here!

Prize A (2 pieces) / Double Chance

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Oh yes, we have more figures! So this Merry Go Round Carousel Accessory Case features some cute ride and Nyanko Sensei riding on one of it. As a display piece this is perfect, but it’s also meant to be an accessory case so you can store your things on the base of the Carousel! It is 14cm in diameter, not too big, but enough to put coins, pins, coins and even charms. This is definitely the prize that everyone would want, so do make sure this is available before playing!

Oh yes! This is the double chance prize as well, so you have another shot at winning it! Do check your results before continue to play!

Prize B (2 pieces)

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

As usual, the B prize we have a big plush of Nyanko Sensei and he looks great here. A 25cm tall plush, smaller than before but still big nonetheless and he dresses as a performer in the amusement park and holding a cat shape balloon, definitely a prize that will make you feel good upon winning!

Prize C (2 pieces)

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Next we have Blanket. As you can see, the blanket is big enough to cover your lower part of your body, so definitely not a prize that you want to miss out! It’s 90cm long, again not sure why the shrink in size, but still good overall. The design wise features a performing group but I do hope Nyanko Sensei can take the center stage, I mean you do want to have a blanket themed around him. Regardless, it’s never a bad thing to pull this prize!

Prize D (8 pieces)

Design: 2 mugs, 2 containers

Distribution: 4 x 2 pieces each.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I think Nyanko Sensei has the tendency to have consolation prize, although there are only 6 big prizes in 70 tickets, we have 8 of them being a middle tier prize in the form of container and mugs! The mugs are ceramic, which explains the rarity. The container are not a rare prize but they do give you an alternate options to choose if you pull this.

The mugs are 350ml tall, containers are 9cm in diameter. I think mugs will be picked first so do play early if you want to choose them. Design wise are filled with Nyanko Sensei doing different things in amusement park, so it’s adorable.

Prize E (11 pieces)

Design: 2 luggage tag, 2 ticket holder

Distribution: 3 x 3 pieces each. 1 x 2 pieces.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

One thing I always admire about Nyanko Sensei’s small prizes is the variety, if you pull Prize E, you can have choice to choose between

  • One of 2 Luggage Tag with Nyanko Sensei design, these are 11cm tall and the design is definitely cute, but usage wise if you do need a luggage tag, this would be a good time to get one! It should be worth your ticket price!
  • One of 2 ticket holder, if you pick this, not only do you get 1, but 2 ticket holder! Each prize comes with 2 ticket holder that are 22cm tall, they have the same material as the folders, what is cool about it, is that you can use it as a Mask Cover as well! Design wise is cool, each has a amusement park ride design attach to it!

Prize F (21 pieces)

Design: 1 pouch, 1 long towel, 4 small towel

Distribution: 3 x 3 pieces each. 3 x 4 pieces each.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

We have more variety of prizes here, so if you pull Prize F, you can choose between:

  • A good looking sling pouch that is 20cm long, the Nyanko Sensei design makes it even more attractive, and this is definitely the prize that will be picked first, so do play early to choose this!
  • A 60cm long towel, design wise definitely is as cute as it can get, but most importantly it’s the prize that everyone will pick after the pouch is gone.
  • 4 small towels, there are 2 of them which are design towels, so these are not meant to be use, they just look nice and meant for display, if you want one that is usable, pick the other 2 designs which are meant to be face towels!

Prize G (24 pieces)

Design: 6

Distribution: 6 x 4 pieces each.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Oh well I thought we will have more variety of choices here, but it’s alright, we have acrylic charm here and this is definitely more welcoming compared to rubber charms! Design wise again features Nyanko Sensei doing different things in the Amusement Park and also different portion of the carousel featured in Prize A! Definitely cute to get!

Last Prize

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

So the last prize as always, we have another plush, but instead of a normal plush, you get a moving plush! The design is shaped like a Bumper Car of Nyanko Sensei, it’s 22cm long and why you pull the tail, the plush will move as the tail winds back! Definitely a unique plush and the function is simple, yet fun to play with. If you fancy this, you can look for a 6- buyout or 12- buyout with A inside.

Grading

Big Prize

Rating: 4 out of 5.

A figure, A long blanket, A Big Plush, nothing to complain about!

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

The small prizes are really attractive here, with so many cool prizes around, I think you might be spoilt for choices!

A fun moving plush!

Variety of Prize

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

With 3 big prizes, 2 different types consolation prizes and 6 different types of small prizes, this is one of the variety small prizes set, despite that, I do hope they have more designs for us to pick.

Odds of big prizes

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

70 tickets and only 6 big prizes

Value for Money

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

I will say you most likely will get something fun from this Kuji set!

Collector’s Value

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Overall: B

Conclusion

An average Kuji, as expected the prizes are fairly well, just that the good ones are always so little, like they could have given more pouches, I think it just makes everyone play early for the pouch which usually doesn’t do well for those who are late to the party. Anyway aside from that, it’s a good Kuji set, just thought it could be much better!

Odds

Let’s calculate your odds to get the following with one ticket from a fresh board!

Chance to get a top prize (A to C): 6 / 70 = 8.57%, slightly lower than average

Recommendation

3 tickets for a chance at the top prize, do play when the pouch is available, if no pouch is left, go for 1 ticket.

Collectibles?

The Real Deal:

  • Prize A Carousel Accessory Case: Definitely the prize to go for in this set! A good looking figure and usable as well, I doubt they will come up with some a prize again!

Nice to have:

  • Prize C Blanket: Good to have, but again, no need to specially hunt for this, it’s a nice cozy item to get.
  • Prize E Pouch: The only item that you need to get from this prize because it’s nice and totally worth your ticket cost and not hard to pull.
  • Prize F Ticket Holder + Luggage Tag: This is one of the few times that I think you can get multiple sets for this, like the ticket holder can come in handy and a good display piece! The luggage tag is usable and you will need it when you travel around too!
  • Prize G Charms: They are not hard to collect, you can sort of form a mini theme park if you have all 6!
  • Last Prize Moving Plush: I mean it’s a moving plush, if you have the chance to and you are a fan, why not!

Collect only if you don’t already have:

  • Prize B Nyanko Sensei Plush: As always if you have previous plush, you can skip this! If not, it’s a good plush to keep.

Skippable:

  • Prize D Mugs + Container: Usable item but not meant for collection, and not easy to pull as well!
  • Prize F Towels: Same reason as above, and not a lot of different designs to keep as well.
