Series Sequel: 14th Re Zero Kuji, First in 2023!

It’s been a long time since we last had a Re Zero Kuji! Rezero has always been famous for their Art Scale Head figure, unfortunately this set is not going to have any Art Scale figures, but the ticket price is slightly cheaper, so let’s see what they have for us before jumping into conclusion.

Prize A (2 pieces) / Double Chance

Top Prize Appearance: 8th

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Of course we have Rem to kick things off, she looks absolutely gorgeous here and her outfit is astonishing! Even with no Art Scale Figures, we still get a good standard Kuji figure. Figure stands at 19cm tall. For this series, the sole focus will be on the 2 figures, so if you are interested do lookout for them!

This is your double chance figure prize, so if you didn’t pull it, you have a second chance to win this!

Prize B (2 pieces)

Top Prize Appearance: 3rd

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Did you know that Ram doesn’t appear quite as often as Rem! She looks gorgeous as well, the color of her costume suits her and comparatively to Rem, she is just as nice! Figure is also 19cm tall. Prize A and B are meant to be displayed as a pair so you probably need to get both for your collection!

Prize C (4 Pieces)

Prize Rating:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

No more figurine prize from here on, instead we are getting illustration board. The prize is nice, it’s A3 in size and the art is really nice and Rem and Ram look really adorable here. I believe most people would prefer more figures in the set, maybe it’s time we all adjust to the new changes Bandai has set for Kuji. Anyway don’t need to be feel too bad, let’s see more prizes down the line!

Prize D (8 pieces)

Design: 2

Distribution: 4 x 2 pieces each.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

To compensate for the lack of figurines, we have the large acrylic stand to make up for it. We are getting 8 acrylic stands as a form of consolation prize but more importantly their are really nice and each stands at 14cm tall. If you don’t have the luck or budget for the figure, the acrylic stand can be a good replacement! Do check for availability as Rem is usually the one getting picked first, play early to have the choice to pick either or both!

Prize E (14 pieces)

Design: 6

Distribution: 4 x 2 pieces each. 2 x 3 pieces each. Blind box.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

One of the better things in Kuji small prizes are the plates. It’s a small plate as stated in the prize, but it’s actually not that small, these are 12cm in diameter and they featured the main characters! The art is simple, just the main characters cute face on the colored plate, but it’s adorable enough to appeal to buyers! The material is also strong, so you can use it for your daily usage and it will hold it’s value!

Prize F (22 pieces)

Design: 7

Distribution: 6 x 3 pieces each. 1 x 4 pieces.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Next we have small art board and they are really nice too. The paint job for the designs are just amazing, I do hope that you can appreciate this kind of art because designers actually spend time crafting the paint job. I don’t think you should feel bad if you are receiving a quality prize for your ticket. I am really amazed by how nice this is.

Prize G (28 pieces)

Design: 12

Distribution: 4 x 3 pieces each. 8 x 2 pieces each.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Lastly we have acrylic charm and they all look adorable! The art is adapted from the Chokonokko series. What is amazing is that we have a bunch of new characters and every design is a different person! If you want to collect all is not hard too since they are not blinded!

Last Prize

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

If you are unable to pull Prize A and you are okay to have the yellow costume variant instead of the blue one, you can opt for a buyout instead! The pose is exactly the same, the face expression as well, it looks good with Ram as well! You can lookout for a 7- buyout or 13- with Ram inside!

Grading

Big Prize

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Great figures but average it off due to the illustration board also being a top prize.

Small Prize

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Definitely one of the better small prizes in terms of quality and design!

Last Prize

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

A figure is good, they can always give us an illustration board.

Variety of Prize

Rating: 3 out of 5.

This set lacks the variety of prizes, they do have variation for each small prizes but Re Zero set feels like a set that should have a wider variety of prize pool, no mini figures too this time round.

Odds of big prizes

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

Standard 8 top in a 80 tickets set but only 4 figures.

Value for Money

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Despite the lack of figures I think you are still getting your money worth because of how good the designs are in general for this set.

Collector’s Value

Rating: 3 out of 5.

See below

Overall: C+

Conclusion

I think the grading is expected, but again the small prizes are nice and we have figures in this set, so it’s not a total disaster. It needs more appeal in terms of bigger range of prizes, more quantity of prizes and inclusive of mini figures. Most importantly, no Art Scale! That being said, you should try to appreciate the prizes you pulled!

Odds

Let’s calculate your odds to get the following with one ticket from a fresh board!

Chance to get a top prize (A to C): 8 / 80 =10%, average

Chance to get a figure prize (A or B): 4 / 80 =5%, way below than average

Recommendation

2 tickets for a chance at the figure!

Collectibles?

The Real Deal (None)

Nice to have (Prize A, B, C, D, F)

If you want to get both Rem and Ram figures, go for a draw of 2 tickets, if luck is not on your side, just proceed from someone, since it’s so hard to pull them, you might want buy directly.

The Illustration Board is nice, you don’t have to go your way out to get it, but if you do pull it then it’s a nice thing to keep!

The acrylic stand have the same logic as well, you probably get 2 acrylic stand in 2 tries, but their values are not as high as the figures, so if you don’t want to spend so much and just want the Ram and Rem costume posing together, this is a good replacement. Market value shouldn’t be too high.

The small art board is a thing of beauty, if you appreciate it and wants to collect, you can just buy off from someone, it should be quite cheap!

The charms are nice, I think it’s a great idea to collect all, they are not hard to get since it’s all different character and not blinded. Don’t buy tickets just for these, exchange or buy directly with someone who has it.

Collect only if you don’t already have (None)

Skippable (E)

Not saying the items are not good in any way, just a collector, you want to keep your collection nice and beautiful. The plates are nice, it’s usable but I doubt it’s collectibles. Re Zero unlike many other anime where they have quite a handful of characters; their designs they can make of will boil down to the main characters, nothing much to collect for future set then.
