Ichiban Kuji: Selectable prizes for non-blinds small prizes. Double chance included if your country carries this Kuji.
Series Sequel: 27th My Hero Academia Kuji, first in 2023!
2023 finally has it’s first MHA Kuji set and I think at this point we are thrilled to welcome new characters into our collection. This set follows the story arc from the anime where Midoriya proceeds to unlock more Quirks for his One for All, quite interesting to see what they have for us, so let’s check it out!
For past Kuji prizes, do check out My Hero Academia Ichiban Kuji Prize Index List
Prize A (2 pieces)

Top Prize Appearance: 18th
Prize Rating:
Once again we start off the set with Midoriya, the main character from MHA. However what is different is that this figure looks so dope! It has his battle costume and he is proceeding to the final chapter, he looks dead serious and even if you have a lot of previous Midoriya figure, this would be a good one to add to your collection, basically nothing bad for pulling this. The figure stands at 16.5cm tall.
Prize B (1 piece)

Top Prize Appearance: 18th
Prize Rating:
So we are getting another Midoriya, it’s the same pose as Prize A but instead he wore his mask for this figure! He looks so much different want it feels like a different figure when he wears the mask. Figure size is also 16.5cm, nothing bad for releasing this figure, just felt that they could have 3 Prize A and each of them have alternate head sculpt. Anyway, as any collector, this is a good figure to have, actually this is the one that you probably want to keep because of the mask!
Prize C (2 pieces)

Top Prize Appearance: 2nd, debut in skinny form
Prize Rating:
Next we have a returning but also new character in All Might. We have All Might in his mighty hero form, this figure is All Might where he lost his powers, if you want to collect all the different characters, then this would be a good one to have. He stands at 22cm tall, the tallest figure for the set and no fancy pose or effect but since he is the motivation behind Midoriya’s heroism, good to add him to your collection. Glad that there are 2 to go around!
Prize D (1 piece)

Top Prize Appearance: 6th
Prize Rating:
Endeavour never fails to amaze me with all his pose and battle effect. I mean this guy is your generic fire blasting hero but all his figures are so different! He has punching effect, burning effect, no effect and this time round it’s a very firery effect where he is in his ultimate fire and the sculpt just looks amazing! Figure is 17cm tall and I think even if you have previous figures this would be a good one to add on because of his pose. Wow this set has really live up to it’s standard!
Prize E (1 piece)

Top Prize Appearance: 6th
Prize Rating:
Next we have Hawks and the past figures is Hawks in his flashy pose where he showcase his beautiful wings and this time round his figure is a special where his wings are small, that’s after them being burned by Dabi in the anime. Again even if you have past Hawks figure, you might want to have this as well as it shows the more vulnerable side of the character. The figure stands at 17cm tall.
Prize F (1 piece)

Top Prize Appearance: 2nd
Prize Rating:
If you didn’t manage to get Best Jeanist in the Top 5 set, then this is a good time to get him. He looks about the same as the Top 5 set figure, I mean his pose and figure can’t really differ that much, but if you do pull this even if you already have the previous one, nothing bad too, he is a rare piece and I think he won’t be out anytime soon, so take it as a good asset to keep. The figure stands at 16.5cm tall.
Prize G (26 pieces)

Design: 12
Distribution: 2 x 3 pieces each. 10 x 2 pieces each.
Prize Rating:
Moving into the small prizes we have Folder set to kick things off. As usual each prize gives you 2 A4 folder, and the designs are well done by the design team for this prize. You can choose your designs for the folders, each prize giving you a single character design plus a team design, so pick your favorite but even if your favorite isn’t available, no worries you can easily buy them in the marketplace without spending too much.
Prize H (26 pieces)

Design: 2 long, 6 small
Distribution: 2 long x 4 pieces each. 6 small x 3 pieces each.
Prize Rating:
We cannot seem to avoid towels in any MHA set, but that’s okay as the towels are really nice this time round. We have 2 long towels featuring the ladies and one with the heroes. The smaller towel design featuring your favorite heroes and no Midoriya, that’s surprising. One one the not so appealing prizes but at least they make the design better so you can appreciate it, so will take it as a win on our end.
Prize I (20 pieces)

Design: 10
Distribution: 10 x 2 pieces each. Blind box.
Prize Rating:
Last prize to pull in the set are rubber charms. The design are adapted from the manga and again no midoriya but we do see Toga, Asui, Uraraka and Mirio in the design. Nothing bad for pulling them, they are blinded so they should have some demand for collectors that wants to keep a set of them.
Last Prize / Double Chance

Prize Rating:
Holy crap, this is such a good last prize! We have the rare figure in prize B as the last prize in case those who wanted it cannot pull it! The Masked Midoriya is in the shiny variant for the last prize and if you really want it, you would have to buy out the set. You can look for a 7- buyout or 13- with at least one non Midoriya figure inside.
You will also be able to win this via double chance! So do check your results first before deciding to buy out!
Grading
Big Prize
All are great figures!
Small Prize
Decent small prizes, quite standardize, at least we are not being shortchanged!
Last Prize
A shiny masked Midoriya is a treat to MHA fans, the figure just tells you to buy out!
Variety of Prize
The number of prizes could have been better, they could have more characters and also more small prizes, even the designs for the small prizes isn’t as much as before.
Odds of big prizes
Standard 8 figures in a 80 tickets set.
Value for Money
I would say for the price that you are paying, you get a decent value, not saying anything is bad, but small prizes wise nothing too wow to make the ticket value super worthy.
Collector’s Value
See below
Overall: B
Conclusion
Another solid MHA set, very good figures that prompt you to collect along with standard small prizes. I think the things that can be better with more characters and more variety of prizes and maybe more figures, missed those days where we get 10 figures in a set! Anyhow it’s a good thing, we have no Bakugo and Shoto in the set, so you won’t feel like you are getting a lot of repetitive stuff!
Odds
Let’s calculate your odds to get the following with one ticket from a fresh board!
Chance to get a figure prize (A to F): 8 / 80 =10%, average
Recommendation
3 tickets for a chance at the figure! or buyout for the shiny Midoriya!
Collectibles?
The Real Deal: Masked Midoriya is definitely the real deal here. I mean either B or last will do, you just can’t missed out this figure for your collection! All Might is a collectible figure as well, I doubt they will come up with more skinny All Might, so better to get this figure now if you are collecting.
Nice to have: Midoriya A is a nice figure to have even if you had previous figures. Endeavour and Hawks too simply because they are different from the previous releases, again depends on your budget, if you have the spare money, then go for it!
Collect only if you don’t already have: Best Jeanist doesn’t differ much from his previous release, so if you already have him, you don’t have to get this version, but if you don’t, it’s a good time to add him to your collection.
Skippable: Towels, Folder set and charms are all skippable, not to say they are bad, but they don’t have a collection series where you need to keep all of them, so just get the designs you want!
