We finally get to see another Yu Gi Oh kuji! Last year the previous Kuji was a success as it debut one of the most memorable anime and card game. We continue that trend this year, so let’s see what they have for us this time round!

Of course we start off the set with Yugi, the previous set features Worldlise figure, this one is no different! The Worldlise series is a figure with base, background with some effects or scenes from the anime. Yugi sure looks great here and the base is different from standard Worldlise as well, it has a stone crafted name base and it just makes the figure looks so good! If you missed out the Yu Gi Oh Kuji last year, this will be your chance to get your hands on a Yugi figure! Figure stands at 19cm. Too bad there is only 1 of him in a set, even though he is the main guy I do hope they have more of him so more people can pull him!
He is a double chance prize as well, so don’t feel sad just yet if you never pull this, try out your chances and see if you get your prize!

The next figure is one of the more famous monster in the game: The Dark Magician! He looks great here, he wields his signature staff and no fancy pose, just standing and looking good. He is 17cm tall and the figure is NOT Worldlise, so do note that the figure is not similar to Prize A, but that doesn’t make it less appealing! Again this is a unique prize in a set, not sure why they have to make him a rare piece, for collectors that wants all the monsters and characters, you will have to fork out some money to get them since they are rare to get.

Next we have the Dark Magician Girl, wow, 2 monsters in a set! If you want to keep your monster collection for Yu Gi Oh Kuji, she is a must to get! She is also not Worldlise but that doesn’t make her any less attractive, she looks gorgeous and the figure stands at 15cm tall and the good news is that there are 2 of them to go around in a set! So you could get it easier and even have a chance to pull 2 of it!

To make up for the shortage of big figures in the top prize list, we have A3 Illustration Board. The designs are great, we have Kaiba with Blue Eye White Dragon and Yugi with both the Dark Magicians. If you pull this prize you are able to choose one of the 2 designs, given that they are still available. Not bad for a prize but don’t think this should replace figures in any case.

Yes the mini figures are back! We have another 4 figures being added to your possible collection in addition to 4 being released in the first set! We have Baby Dragon, Mokey Mokey, Carbuncle making their debut and Winged Kuriboh making it’s second appearance (first one with normal Kuriboh). The mini figures are so hard to get, so this is definitely a good consolation prize to walk home with if you didn’t get any top prizes!
Prize F (18 pieces)

Next we have cups and they look great, we have design featuring Yugi, Kaiba, Dark Magician, Blue Eye White Dragon, Kuriboh and a spell and trap cards design. They are blinded so whichever you get I hope you like them, at the end of the day, it’s a useful prize that you can walk home with. Cups are 12cm tall, so not small at all!
Prize G (24 pieces)

Distribution: 4 x 3 pieces each. 6 x 2 pieces each.

Next we have A4 folder set and as normal, each prize feature 2 folders. You can choose 5 of the designs which feature the characters and 5 featuring the monsters. What is special about this prize is that one of your two folders has the glitter effect, which some of you might like! I believe the Monster’s design will be more popular so do play early to be able to pick them. If you collected some of the monsters art from the previous set, you might want to get some of them for this set too!
Prize H (24 pieces)

Distribution: 2 x 3 pieces each. 9 x 2 pieces each. Blind packs.

Wow no towels no charms, instead we have art board featuring 11 of the classic Yu Gi Oh Monsters! We have a range of Magicians and Dragons! It’s a blind pack so it makes it harder to collect but I think as a fan, you will appreciate any design that you pull! Definitely a nice prize to have and at least you shouldn’t feel too bad about it.
Last Prize

In case you are unable to pull Prize B, a buyout might be more ideal! The Last Prize is also Dark Magician and it is the blue variant instead but pose exactly the same as Prize B, if you are not fuss about it, it is a good replacement! You can look for a 8- buyout or 15- with at least 1 figure inside and hopefully some mini figures!

Conclusion
Another solid set from Yu Gi Oh, although we have lesser big figures for the small prize, we do have some small prizes that makes up for it such as the mini figures, cups and even the art board isn’t too bad. I think everyone is expecting more mini figures or figures, so this might be a shortchange for them since the tickets are also more expensive, nevertheless, the designs are nice. We can only hope for better odds in the future.

Collectibles?
The Real Deal: Both Dark Magician Girl and Dark Magician are essential if you want to collect all the monsters in the set. Either Dark Magician Prize B or Last will do, so if you can’t pull it, save some money and buy from someone who does or look for a buyout to get them. The mini figures too, they probably will be out every set going forward, so getting all 4 will be essential for collection too.
Nice to have: The Illustration Board and cups are nice, but just for your liking, you don’t have to go your way to collect them if you never pull them. If you collected the previous set’s folders, getting all the monsters’ folder will be good!
Collect only if you don’t already have: Yugi figure. Since he will be out in every set going forward because he is the main character, you can just get this one if you missed out the first set.
Skippable: The art board are nice, but no need to collect everything since it’s blinded and they might not come out more designs in the future. Anyway it’s a hassle to collect all small blinded prizes too.
