Series Sequel: 89th One Piece Kuji set! 10th in 2022

Wow, 89th set for One Piece, this is the longest running Kuji series in history and it’s still going strong! All One Piece generally have a theme but they have characters that are nice and I think it’s hard to hate on this series, so let’s see what prizes they have for us!

For full prize list, do visit One Piece Ichiban Kuji Prize Index List

Prize A (1 piece) / Double Chance

Top Prize Appearance: 6th, Debut in Human Beast Form!

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

We kick things off with Kaido and he looks really amazing! This is the first time that he appear in his Human Beast form, the past set had him release in his Human or Dragon form, so great to see a returning character but in different form! Figure wise is the standard small figure, but not that small, he is 14cm tall and 19cm wide! So it’s definitely a good pull if you manage to draw this prize! It is also a unique piece that one is looking for, so I wouldn’t skip on that! This is something that everyone would be looking for before they play!

This is also a double chance prize, so if you didn’t pull it, check your double chance first before buying more tickets!

Prize B (2 pieces)

Top Prize Appearance: 5th, debut in beast form.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Yamato is also another returning character but she makes her debut in her beast form! This will look good if pair with Prize A Kaido! They are made to be facing each other so be it a casual or hardcore collector, you would want to get your hands on this item! She stands at 12cm tall and comes with a base, like all figures in the set. Good that there are 2 pieces to go around, wouldn’t skip on this as well!

Prize C (2 pieces)

Top Prize Appearance: 46th

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Our main character Luffy has made his 46th appearance! That is definitely a record that is impossible to beat at this stage because there will definitely be more of him! He looks great here, a different pose compared to past figure with a kicking pose and effect as well. Definitely something I wouldn’t feel bad if I pull it! Not necessary if you already have it, but wouldn’t mind getting it as well! Figure is 13cm tall.

Prize D (2 pieces)

Top Prize Appearance: 26th

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Zorro is another character that appears almost as much! He is in his signature pose where he wields 3 swords. Again, because of how frequent you are getting his appearance in Kuji, you don’t have to get this figure if you have past collection but no harm pulling this! The figure stands at 12cm tall.

Prize E (1 piece)

Top Prize Appearance: 17th

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

We end off the top prize with Sanji and he looks gorgeous here! He has a cool looking fire effect on his leg so definitely wouldn’t say no to pulling this figure even if I have the previous versions! He is also a unique piece, that means that you can actually value this piece a little higher if you want to sell or trade it. Figure stands at 15cm tall, mostly because of the effect.

Prize F (12 pieces)

Design: 4

Distribution: 4 x 3 pieces each. Blind box.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Next we have cups and they are not those cheap kind, the plastic are quite durable and they have very nice manga design for the characters as well! We have 2 Luffy, 1 Yamato and 1 Kaido design, the cups are 12cm tall so good for your daily usage. It’s also not easy to pull this, so if you did pull it then consider yourself lucky! A usable prize is definitely welcome here!

Prize G (22 pieces)

Design: 8

Distribution: 6 x 3 pieces each. 2 x 2 pieces each.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Next we have long towels. The characters design feature some of the main character as well as the girls of the straw hat pirate. Not bad for design but something feels off, I seen better design for towels so this doesn’t appeal well to me, but it’s a long towel, I am sure everyone is used to it, so treating us with long towel seems decent, they could always give us small ones.

Prize H (24 pieces)

Design: 8

Distribution: 8 x 3 pieces each.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Next we have B5 Size Visual Art and wow, these are nicely done! They don’t feel like small prizes at all! The art is fantastic, featuring multiple characters in one design and have a paper frame over the art board so it looks nicer, that is some good work given to us by Bandai! I think as a fan, you definitely won’t feel bad for pulling this! Of course your intention are getting the figures but you don’t go home sad, at least you get a well design prize!

Prize I (24 pieces)

Design: 12

Distribution: 12 x 2 pieces each. Blind box.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Last small prize we have rubber charms and the design just wows me. Each character has a good effect or background in the design and each charm also comes with a One Piece Treasure Cruise logo, all the characters features are popular enough so you should be able to like each one of them! It’s a blind box, so you can use it to trade for the design that you want or sell to a collector who wants them!

Last Prize

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

If you didn’t pull Kaido or win the double chance, maybe you can consider getting a buyout for the Shiny variant! It’s similar to the Prize A variant but has a glossy effect on the skin, so definitely unique on it’s own! You can look for a 9- buyout or 15- with at least one other figure left!

Conclusion

Luckily we are back to 8 figures per set, the previous Film Red set is so hard to pull the figures. This set has generally good small prizes and the figures are nice and attractive enough for people to play. Quite a solid set and for a long running series to have a Kuji that is still attractive till today, that’s an impressive trait, so hope they keep up the good job!

Odds

Let’s calculate your odds to get the following with one ticket from a fresh board!

Chance to get a top prize (A to E): 8 / 80 =10%, average

Recommendation

3 tickets for a chance at the figure or get a good buyout, hopefully with Yamato inside.

Collectibles?

The Real Deal: Kaido and Yamato, these 2 are made for the set, so if you are playing or collecting, these are the 2 to look out for! I doubt they will have their form in this set featured again, even if they do, why not just get this pair and call it a day.

Nice to have: The Visual Art are definitely a good to collect item, they are not blinded, so it’s easy to get all 8 of them for your collection! Just note the design as you play, you should easily get 8 of them!

Collect only if you don’t already have: Sanji, Luffy and Zorro are nice figure, but they have previous releases, so if you have them already, then you don’t have to worry about missing out these ones.

Skippable: The cups are nice and usable, but no need to collect all 4. The charms as well, it will be tedious to get all 12, so just get what you pull and use or trade it. The towels are just not attractive this time round, so you can skip collecting it.
