Series Sequel: 46th Dragon Ball Kuji set. 2nd in 2022.

We are back with another Dragon Ball Kuji! It’s also the first installment for the Dragon Ball Super line, so expect to see some new characters. The figure line this time round is Masterlise so nothing bad once again, so let’s see what they have for us!

For past prizes, do look at Dragon Ball Ichiban Kuji Prize Index List

Prize A (2 pieces)

Top Prize Appearance: 9th, debut as Super Gohan!

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Well well, to kick things off, we have an amazing Gohan figure, it’s also Gohan’s first time as adult form, so definitely you want to get your hands on it! 2 to go around in the set, so nothing bad!

Prize B (1 piece)

Top Prize Appearance: 4th

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

I am quite surprised that Piccolo is back again, he appears a bit too often recently, maybe to offset the fact he didn’t appear too often in the past. That being said, it’s a solid figure and rare piece so no harm pulling it!

Prize C (1 piece)

Top Prize Appearance: 17th

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

So next we are getting a standard Goku, no super saiyan or anything and to be frank I thought he would be the one getting 2 pieces and everyone else is rare piece, glad that they are not making the main character so common in a set, a good figure nonetheless, it’s really not easy pulling a rare figure, so no priorities if you have this already, but no harm also if you pull it.

Prize D (1 piece)

Top Prize Appearance: 4th

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Wow, despite there been lots of Vegeta figure, this is the 4th time his standard form figure comes out. Looks pretty normal but with Masterlise quality it naturally becomes a thing of beauty, so again, same logic, no need to hunt for him if you have previous versions but not bad to pull as well.

Prize E (1 piece)

Top Prize Appearance: Debut!

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

We now introduce ourselves to the new character; Gamma! Well how can you have a new series without new characters right, so good to see Gamma being featured here as a top prize but sad to see that there’s only 1 piece of him, he is going to be so popular.

Prize F (1 piece)

Top Prize Appearance: Debut!

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Same logic as to Gamma, Gamma 2 also makes his debut and also a character that you will need to kick start your Dragon Ball Super collection. Figure wise very standard but again, being made by Masterlise just makes them good!

Prize G (1 piece)

Top Prize Appearance: 2nd

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Pan is back again but this time round, she has a different outfit, although her figure is smaller, she is still a Masterlise figure so really, nothing bad and also rare piece and uncommon character, you will be surprise the value she brings.

Prize H (16 pieces)

Design: 4

Distribution: 4 x 4 pieces each.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

We move onto the small prize section and the sling pouch looks good. You can use it for a lot of things like keeping your notepads, coins, cards or even act as a mask holder! Basically worth your ticket cost, so nothing bad about pulling it!

Prize I (24 pieces)

Design: 6

Distribution: 6 x 4 pieces each. Blind box.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Next we have cups, they look okay, like nothing too fancy and each have a logo associated with characters featured in the top prizes and also one with dragon ball design, it’s hard to see the logo, so it might just look like a regular cup, hope they improve on this next time!

Prize J (32 pieces)

Design: 4 long, 4 small

Distribution: 8 x 4 pieces each.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

Lastly, and also probably the least, are towels. Yes they gave long towels as well and the design features every characters in the top prize, but it feels like something normal, no wow factor and there’s 32 pieces of it, can really feel short change here, but oh well, at least the top prizes are good.

Last Prize

Top Prize Appearance: 5th

Prize Rating:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Wow, just wow, I mean every time they gave us a good last figure, the buyout rate is usually very high! Shenron looks fantastic here and if you want to obtain this, you can only buy out for this. So look out for a 30- buyout and hope you have some figures in it especially both Gammas.

Double Chance

Prize Rating:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

OMG, even if they are giving Shenron as the double chance prize, we have no complains, but wow, they are giving us a Golden Shenron for the double chance! So if you really win it, then you will be out for a treat because this is going to be hot! No direct ways to get it, just have to hope that luck is on your side when you play for double chance.

Conclusion

Well having 8 top notch figures and an amazing last and double chance prizes will make this set good, period. The only downfall is the ticket cost are a bit higher and the small prizes some do not justify that cost, but aside from that, all is well!

Odds

Let’s calculate your odds to get the following with one ticket from a fresh board!

Chance to get a top prize (A to G): 8 / 80 = 10%, standard.

Recommendation

3 tickets for a chance at a figure or look for a good buyout!

Collectibles? : If you are a collector, focus on A, E and F, maybe G and Last if you have a budget, for new collectors or hardcore ones, having all will be good. As for the double chance, sadly no direct ways to get it, you will have to hope for your luck or buy it at a premium price if you really want it.
