Prize A (2 pieces)

Top Prize Appearance: 3rd

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

We are always going to get the main character as the A prize, but what is so cool about it is that we are getting young Goku! We have a lot of adult Goku figures but his younger self don’t get that many releases! So great to see him. The figure line here is Masterlise so expect good quality figures too.

PrizeB (2 pieces) / Double Chance

Top Prize Appearance: 3rd

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

You would think that Piccolo would get a lot of releases too since he is one of the main characters, but he isn’t! This is also his 3rd Kuji big figure and he does appear recently but this is the king version. Looks great, no harm pulling it.

He is also featured in double chance so you have another opportunity to win this piece.

Prize C (2 pieces)

Top Prize Appearance: Debut!

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Great to see debuting characters! Tao Pai Pai makes his debut here and if you are the retro Dragon Ball fan you would want to get his figure too! 2 pieces each so no complains here.

Prize D (1 piece)

Top Prize Appearance: Debut!

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Pilaf has appeared before as a big prize but he rode a robot back then and you can barely see him. He does look small for a big prize, but it’s actual scale since he is actually this tiny. What is so special is that his figure also comes with 7 dragon balls! He is also a rare figure so definitely have value pulling him.

Prize E (1 piece)

Top Prize Appearance: Both Debut!

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

I always like it when they gave us 2 figures in a big prize, so thanks to Bandai for giving us both Shu and Mai here! Shu is a smaller figure, which is why it’s fitting to get Mai with him as well. The bad thing is that there’s only 1 piece in each set, so it will be a little challenging pulling them, but definitely worth it if you manage to get them!

Prize F (12 pieces)

Design: 4

Distribution: 4 x 3 pieces each. Blind box.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

If you haven’t get a chance to see what is a Dragon Archives figure, do look as my full list post. These are amazing mini figures featuring a lot of retro Dragon Ball characters! It’s a continuation of the series here, with 4 new characters, so if you are keeping the collection, you will want to continue getting them. Also, a mini figure will always be a good small prize.

Prize G (10 pieces)

Design: 6

Distribution: 4 x 2 pieces each. 2 x 1 piece each. Blind box.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

The bottles have a good art and will give you more satisfaction as a small prize. The designs are great, the bottle quality is decent, it’s a decent bottle to show off if you are a dragon ball fan.

Prize H (24 pieces)

Design: 6

Distribution: 6 x 4 pieces each.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

I like that most of the prizes are consistent for an EX series for Dragon Ball. The Illustration board is huge, at A3 size, I think it’s a good way to display them and definitely not a bad prize. The art looks good, it features a lot of classic scenes from the anime.

Prize I (26 pieces)

Design: 4 long, 4 small

Distribution: 2 x 4 pieces each. 6 x 3 pieces each.

Prize Rating:

Rating: 3 out of 5.

The towels are going to be the least favorable prizes, especially when fans are spending 800 yen to get a ticket and they are getting towels. The designs are decent, the long ones look better but the small one isn’t the bad too. Just that Dragon Ball has too much towels and I think fans can get sick of collecting them.

Last Prize

Prize Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

If you didn’t manage to pull Prize C, you can consider buying out to get Tao Pai Pai, but even if you do, this variant is his cyborg version so you might want to get both C and Last! You can look for a 10- buyout or 15- with at least 2 mini figures and 20- with at least one other figure and at least 1 mini figure left.

Conclusion

A good set for Dragon Ball. Most of the top prizes characters are debuting pieces so good for collectors. You will also get decent small prizes and even mini figures so nothing bad about this set, okay except maybe the towel part, so all else is fine.

Recommendation

10 tickets for a chance for at least 1 big figure or maybe a few mini figures.

Collectibles? : All the debuting characters are a must for collectors, you might even want to get everything since Goku and Piccolo don’t appear that often. The dragon archives are good to collect too.
